Founder, Chairman & Managing Director

  • G S Basavaraj holds a double degree in commerce & law (LL.B). He is the grandson of Late. Sri Gubbi Veeranna a noted theatre personality in Karnataka.

  • A first generation entrepreneur. Proprietor of V B Associates (VB) flagship company, established in February 1998.

  • Before that he has worked with MNC NBFC - ESandA FinANZ & Leasing Finance Limited (A subsidiary of ANZ Grindlays Bank Plc) & Kotak Mahindra Primus Limited in Bangalore.

  • Under his dynamic leadership VB has seen not only good consistent growth but also emerged stronger after 3 recessions in 2000, 2008 & 2020. Focus has always been to nurture talent with passion & performance driven by values & compassion.

  • Nurtured a culture at VB where average vintage of employees is > 5 years. We have siblings, spouses, father & son also working thereby creating a unique work culture.

  • During the pandemic VB has opened 4 offices; 3 in Bengaluru, 1 in Mysore & 1 in Hubli. Overall VB has 10 offices; 6 in Bengaluru, 2 in Mysore, 1 in Mangalore & 1 in Hubli.

  • V B has recruited 200+ employees during the Pandemic itself. The overall staff strength of VB is 425+.

G B ARJUN

Chief Operating Officer

  • G. B. Arjun, Chief Operating Officer & also son of Mr. G S Basavaraj
    Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce & MBA from Management Development Institute of Singapore (MDIS), with specialization in Banking and Finance.

  • A second generation entrepreneur. Co-founder & Director of Rebecca Business Services Pvt. Ltd. (RBS).

  • Before pursuing MBA he has worked at VB in Debt Collection. He is also a Certified Debt Recovery Agent.

  • Post his MBA he has ably supported Mr. G S Basavaraj in his Business, managing portfolios like American Express, Citibank, ICICI Bank & Indusind Bank.

  • By joining Mr. G S Basavaraj he has ensured succession plan for VB & RBS

HEMAANTKUMARR

Chief Executive Officer

  • Hemaantkumarr joined VB in October 2017 as Product Head for American Express process. Elevated as Chief Executive Officer in August 2018.

  • A Commerce graduate from Bangalore University. Has wide, diverse & rich experience of 22 years in Banking & Financial Services Industry (BFSI)

  • Has worked at various levels with leading MNC NBFC & Banks like ESandA FinANZ & Leasing Ltd. (An Associate of ANZ Grindlays Bank plc.), American Express Banking Corporation, ICICI Bank Ltd & India Infoline Finance Ltd.

  • During his long stint of 22 years in Banking & Financial Services he has had exposure & experience in Sales & Marketing, Product Development of Car Loans, Credit Cards, Personal Loans, Home Loans, Gold Loans & Agri based loans

  • Has also had exposure in Core Branch Banking at ICICI Bank
    Has been instrumental in enhancing the brand value of VB. Formulating Vision, Mission, Strategic direction, Organisation structure & growth of VB to the next level
